I've been having a few email conversations with Poppet SubSlut over a few topics of late and a point in one of the discussions was over chastity devices. We are both caged for long periods, and it would be fair that we are both fans of wearing chastity, but for quite different reasons. It is always interesting to know why different people are caged, because there are a whole range of reasons, emotions and feelings about them from a wearer and from their partners. Rarely are all of the reasons the same across all of the parties in the conversation.
So I thought that I would do an update on what had been an older post on the old site and is now on this site as an archive article.

To add a few bits to that article, we did eventually progress back to a CB6000 and soon after purchased a CB6000s cage and that was quite good to wear long term, thankfully we didn't have anymore incidents of split cages.
Sir purchased an all metal CB6000s and while that was good for wearing it wasn't brilliant for long term wear. However I did find that by looking at the collection I could identify the good parts of each of the CB chastity cages and decided to pick the best bits and see if I could "create" a good working cage for long term wear. The result was "Frankencage!"
This item had the back ring and top pins from the metal CB6000s cage, the locking pin and spacer from the original CB6000 and the pink plastic cage from a copy CB6000s. It was a really good cage to wear long term and was my my main cage for a couple of years until I made the move to the newer lighter metal cages.
My Current cages are shown below and currently I am wearing a pink"cobra". This is a very comfortable cage and sized as small but we can easily go down a size to the Nano sized version and we probably will in the new year I think.

My current other chastitys are shown below. I do wear these but either to get a respite change from my current cage or to allow a deep clean of the cage. The other reason may be that Madam or Sir would want me in a different cage.

Top Left - Frankencage, as mentioned this was my main cage for several years, it is probably the first cage that I could really wear for long periods. the one down side was that it could be difficult to clean while wearing it.
Top Centre - Metal cage with a short open cage. Back ring is hinged and once I added the rubber sleave to the hinge area it is really comfortable to wear and curves the clit down in a nice angle. I wore this for most of last year and this year. The spikes can be added as a punishment and they are bloody uncomfortable if any attempt of an erection happens. The back ring had a good shape and really works for my ball sac. One down side is that my foreskin can get stuck against one of the bars and having a pee can be a real drama as well as messy!! Overall a good comfortable cage and keeps everything quite snug.
Top Right - another comfortable cage but can be used for punishment play. The back ring is good with a good shape to it. The sleeve of the cage is tight and keep my clit very snug and I have less foreskin problems with this one. The metal sleeve allows Madam to stick small pads from a TENs unit onto it and it conducts the shock really well (too well) to my confined clit. We can also add the urethra tube to the cage if needed - I can wear that for a day but I bloody hate it so when threatened with that I make sure that I am on best behaviour!.
During the summer we all noticed that my clit was spending more time being smaller in my cages (mainly the centre cage) so we discussed about down sizing. Sir wanted to stay with metal as they have a more constraining appearance and they are a cage in the real sense of the word, while Madam wanted to go for resin/ 3d printed as she wanted me to have something secure but light for long term wear. So we had a balance of try the 3D printed Cobra, the cage isn't as small as we would have liked but we have proved that we have a comfortable workable cage and a couple of smaller metal cages.
The 2 lower cages are definitely smaller, both can be worn with the urethra tube and the one on the right also has the spikes but I'm not sure that they will get used as they are just too angled in for sensible use. Observations when wearing these - The shaped back ring is better for me than the plain round one and while they hold me very snug we have found that the weight makes them hang forward quite a bit while effectively just containing the head of my clit.
We had a bit of an accident when I was being fucked by Madam when wearing the Lower Left small cage. My caged clit was bouncing about alot and as I was getting turned on and I got "firm" and my clit pushed the cage forward and down and my semi erect clit popped out from the back ring while keeping my balls trapped between cage and back ring! Really not a comfortable experience and trying to tell Madam to stop while in full flow of thrusts was an effort!
We notice the same potential problem with the lower right cage. We chatted with another sissy that we follow on twitter about using small cages and an elastic waist strap, which seems to be popular at the moment. Having ordered one the result is really quite good as the strap helps to keep the back ring close to the body and certainly helps to reduce the bounce issue. While it works well with the resin/ 3D cage it is really essential for the small metal cages. My only other observation with the smaller cages is that I have noticed with them is that the skin that would have covered the shaft of my small clit, while it initially bunches up when I push the cage on and lock the cage in place, with time the skin starts to creep forward and over the sides of the cage, almost like a second foreskin.
With the chastity aspects, here are my issues.
- I have quite a big ball sac, so we need to use a 50-52mm back ring, ideally shaped. We tried dropping down a size and it was almost like I was being castrated. I can endure pain but the colour that my bollocks were going was not good - also going down a size acted more like a cock ring to sustain an erection rather than preventing one! So large back rings are the thing for me. (No I don't want to be castrated, or any such thing, That would probably mean that my sex drive and a focal point for the turn of humiliation would be gone/ diminished and Madam does not want me castrated either, thank you very much!).
- Despite having a small clit (and it is smaller than what it originally was) I can still get erections, despite the lack of use. I get nightly "piss erections" which wake me up and have my cage straining, so I have to go wee so that things calm down. These aren't regular they just happen every so often.
- When going to bed at night I remove the elastic support strap as that will allow for some movement of my ball sac skin and allows it to move without being pinched by the back ring being too tight to my body.
- When Madam teases me I will become firm in the cage (not hard but firm).
- When Sir and Madam verbally emasculate me, guess what...firm to semi hard (and I can start to leak just from that at times...)
- When being fucked by Madam or Sir, I will start to get hard in my cage. Being caged has probably allowed me to become more sexually aroused than when I was unfettered. Perhaps when I was uncaged I was too focused on trying to achieve or deliver "the goods" and that was a physiological pressure, where as being caged I don't have that pressure.
If Madam Alice said tomorrow I didn't need to wear the cage, I would still put on and wear it to show my commitment and focus to her, I'm convinced that without it I would start to crave being caged.
So there you go, if we decide to go down to the Nano sized cage in the new year I'll let you all know.

Hi billie - i definitely think you should drop down to a nano in 2023. i also completely agree with you when it comes to the shaped base rings with cages over the plain round ones. i am still in the 3-D printed cage i got about two years ago with the only issue being that it has not held its colour. When bought it was purple and now is a sort of off-white. Super comfortable though.

I think the Nano is a fore gone conclusion, we all thought the "short" cage would be shorter, but having said that it is very comfortable. We'll see how it holds its colour.
